How we find the lowest price
ALLR ranks motorcycle gear by what it will actually cost to land on your doorstep — not by the sticker price. This page explains exactly how we compute that, where the numbers come from, how we cross-check them against the wider market, and — just as important — what our checks can and cannot prove.
We rank by landed cost, not sticker price
The cheapest listed price is rarely the cheapest purchase. For every product we compute landed cost — item price + shipping + import duty + applicable VAT, converted to your currency for your country (Canada, US, EU or UK). The retailer with the lowest landed cost rises to the top. We do not reorder by what a store pays us — today no store pays us anything (see the Affiliate Disclosure), and the lowest true cost would win regardless.
The retailers we rank
We compute landed cost across 50+ vetted retailers — the stores we know enough about to model their shipping and duty behaviour, and to send you to with confidence. These are the only stores we name and rank, including:

For most of them we also track the return window, method and fees, and we surface that on the product page. Where we don't hold a verified return policy for a store, we show nothing rather than guess — check that retailer's own returns page before you buy.
Cross-checking the wider market
To make sure our ranked price reflects the wider market and not just the stores we track, we cross-check popular models against the broader Shopify motorcycle-gear marketplace — hundreds of independent storefronts — using Shopify's public product catalogue. Across the popular gear we've checked, the lowest price in our network came in at or below the cheapest comparable listing we found at those storefronts. And because they list a sticker price only (no shipping, duty or tax), even one that looks cheaper at first glance routinely lands more expensive once it's delivered to your country — the gap our landed-cost ranking is built to close.
Here is exactly what that cross-check is — and isn't:
- It compares our landed cost to their base price. Those storefronts publish a sticker price only — no shipping, duty or tax — so we use them to confirm our all-in price is competitive, never to claim a landed price on your behalf for a store we haven't vetted.
- It covers Shopify merchants only. It is a breadth check of the open Shopify ecosystem, not "every store everywhere." Several of the retailers we already rank aren't on Shopify and are covered by our own landed-cost ranking instead.
- We report it in aggregate, never as a per-store price list. Automatically matching the same exact model across hundreds of stores is imperfect, so we publish a count of storefronts checked and a dated result — we do not name a specific store next to a specific price, because an occasional mismatch would make that claim wrong.
- We never route you to an unvetted store. The cross-check is a price-floor confidence signal; our outbound "Buy" links only ever go to the vetted retailers above.
Freshness
Prices, sizes and stock are pulled automatically from each retailer's own site on a regular schedule. Automated data can lag or be wrong — the retailer's own checkout is always the final source of truth, and we say so plainly. Each wider-market comparison we publish is dated, so you can see when it was last checked.

Is this the cheapest price anywhere?
We rank the lowest landed cost — item, shipping, duty and tax to your country — across the 50+ retailers we vet, and we cross-check popular models against the wider Shopify marketplace. We don't claim to be the lowest at literally every store on Earth: a cheaper sticker price somewhere else often lands more expensive once shipping and import duty are added, which is the gap our landed-cost ranking is built to close. We rank the lowest landed cost among the sources we check, and the retailer's own checkout is always the final word.
Does your comparison include shipping and import duty?
Yes — that's the whole point. Our ranking is landed cost: item price plus shipping plus import duty plus applicable VAT for your country. A cheaper sticker price in another country often lands more expensive once those are added, which is exactly what a sticker-only comparison hides.
Do you check retailers that aren't on Shopify?
Yes. The retailers we rank include many non-Shopify stores (for example large specialists and brand stores), and those are compared on full landed cost. The separate wider-market cross-check uses Shopify's public catalogue, so it covers Shopify storefronts only — it's a breadth check on top of our core ranking, not the whole of it.
Why don't you list every store you compared against?
For the retailers we rank, we do name them — they're vetted and shown on each product page. For the wider Shopify cross-check we publish a count of storefronts checked rather than a named list, because automatically matching the exact same model across hundreds of stores isn't perfect, and naming a store next to a price for the wrong product would be misleading. A dated count of how many storefronts we checked is something we can stand behind.
